Unit 5 Outline: Students listen to, read, view and interpret texts with animal characters to explore how they reflect human qualities.

* Lizard Gang (Kirra Somerville ) - a contemporary Australian narrative with a moral message for students about working as a team
*Loongie the Greedy Crocodile ( Lucy & Kiefer Dann) – a contemporary Australian narrative with a moral message for students about sharing resources.

How do these texts fit with C2C unit plans?
All of these appropriate texts have highly interesting central animal characters, with human qualities students can relate to. Students will therefore be able to easily select a character to interview and explore in detail.

Unit 6 Outline: Students listen to, read, view and interpret picture books and stories including a wide selection from different cultures to retell a favourite story.
