Our Indigenous designer De Greer Yindimincarlie named this design on our behalf "The Yarning Circle". This mat is designed using Indigenous symbols. The symbols were and are used as a form of communication, a way to tell a story, instruction or direction. Our Indigenous mats have been designed using De's Little Black Card Game as inspiration and is a great game to use in conjunction with the practical side of these recycled mats. This "Yarning Circle" design represents a variety of different indigenous symbols including men, campsite, coolamon, child, boomerang, warrior, emu tracks, kangaroo tracks and digging sticks - the lesson here is to work out which symbol relates to which description - to do this the Little Black Game Pack (just $17.95 each pack) is an ideal resource to buy with this mat and will teach you many different indigenous symbols in a fun and exciting way (Please see symbol cards for symbol definitions)

The versatility, light weight and durability of our recycled polypropylene oudoor play mats are only enhanced by how easy they are to keep clean.  Dirt and food spills need no longer be a problem in any child care centre, school or home.  Simply vacuum up the offending spills, give the play mats a quick wash over with soapy water, then toss them over the line or fence to dry.  Easy!

 Common Uses:

  • Play mat in child care centres and kindies
  • Library "Story Telling" rugs
  • Spread it on the floor to catch paint spills while the kids are having fun
  • Use it on school or family outings
  • Sporting occasions
  • Family reunions
  • Perfect for the beach – sand just washes / shakes off
  • Perfect for picnics in the park
  • High traffic areas

  • All our floor mats have been made to the best attainable standards from UV treated recycled polypropylene. We make no assertions on the longevity of the product as there are too many variables including care, exposure to continuous direct sunlight, contact with abrasive cleaners etc

Please also note that although these floor and play mats are wonderful to use outside, we do not suggest that are left outside in direct and permanent sun and rain full time due to high UV exposure, we also suggest that if purchasing a medium or large mat that when in storage ensure they are clean, dry and folded along the seems

'These 'fabulous' designs are done by the wonderfully talented Aboriginal artist De Greer-Yindimincarlie from Yindi Artz'
