Aboriginal - Clap Sticks

Aboriginal - Clap Sticks

MAU 02
Australian MadeHand Made

Aboriginal clap sticks, ,still used today, are an important part of ceremonial dance and song. They create a beautiful, sharp sound when clapped together and their decorative designs on each one tells its own story.

Clap Sticks are made in Queensland through the process of machine turning and are then outsourced to Aboriginal people, who hand-paint them and return them to the warehouse for sealing and packing. Each clap sticks set comes with its own Authenticated Label and a brief description.

Also now available are unpainted clap sticks, these are ideal for children's use without any art work on them there is no chance of damage to the sticks, which also makes them much more cost effective for your school.

Painted $39.50

As each set is unique, colours do vary. The appromimate length is 26cm and each set comes with a manufacturer's warranty. Made from the Australian hardwood, Brigalow.
